Does anyone have tips for starting a christian band

I need tips!!!!! I wanna start a band withs ome friends but we have no idea how to!! HELP!

The contemporary Christian band I've played with for a couple of years practices every week and we take turns preparing and presenting a devotion at practice. We pray together at practice and before the service. The prayer is critical, in my opinion. We've had some trials, as expected, but I'm amazed at how strong of a bond we've developed.

my friend, the bottom line is that your band must keep focused on serving the lord and avoid the pitfalls that plauge so many christian bands. egos need to be put away and personality conflicts need to be delt with in an open and honest fashion. that said the music part is almost easy, write, write , and write some more, talk with your pastor about places to play and keep your church involved in the band, this will help you out alot down the road when things get tough, (and they will) a strong foundation is a must for your bands longevity. good luck
